Saturday, 30 September 2023 The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids in J&K's Poonch in connection with a terror attack in Rajouri earlier this year. The raids targeted the premises of Overground Workers (OGWs) affiliated with the banned Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) group. The action was based on information provided by two suspects who were arrested last month. The NIA spokesperson stated that digital devices and documents were seized during the raids and are being analyzed to uncover the conspiracy. The NIA took over the case from the J&K police on January 13.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) apprehended two suspects - Mussavir Hussain Shazib and Abdul Matheen Taha - in connection with Bengaluru's Rameswaram Cafe blast case on Friday. The two were nabbed near West Bengal's Kolkata. Mussavir Hussain Shazib has been identified as the alleged "mastermind" behind the low-intensity blast that occurred at a prominent eatery in Bengaluru on March 1. Shazib is accused of placing the improvised explosive device (IED) at the cafe. Additionally, Abdul Matheen Taha is implicated as a co-conspirator in the incident. Both Taha and Shazib hail from Thirthahalli in Shivamogga district, according to statements from the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
