Karnataka: JD(S) brass gets cadres to pledge they won’t leave

IndiaTimes Monday, 2 October 2023
The JD(S) party in India is facing an existential crisis as members threaten to leave over the decision to ally with the BJP. In an effort to retain members, JD(S) leaders have administered an oath to party members, pledging their loyalty and commitment to the party. While some Muslim functionaries are unhappy with the alliance and considering leaving, other party members defend the decision and claim that the alliance will not harm the Muslim community. JD(S) leaders hope to resolve the issue and maintain party unity.
