ED calls TMC's Abhishek Banerjee, wife on Oct 9 & 11; HC suggests 'examine all documents first'

The Enforcement Directorate has summoned Abhishek Banerjee, the Trinamool Congress general secretary, and his wife for questioning in connection with its probe into a company called Leaps & Bounds. Banerjee is the CEO of the company and his parents are its directors. The Calcutta High Court has asked the ED to set a deadline for Banerjee to submit documents and suggested that the agency could send him a fresh summons if it is not satisfied. Banerjee has stated that he will comply with the ED's requests and will move to the Supreme Court regarding the leaked letters addressed to the agency.
