Sikkim flood: 176 tourists evacuated from flood hit state
Tuesday, 10 October 2023 A total of 176 tourists were on Tuesday airlifted from North Sikkim, which has been ravaged by a flash flood in the Teesta river, Chief Secretary VB Pathak said.
Minister of State for Home Affairs Ajay Kumar Mishra on October 8 held a meeting with Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang at the CM's residence in Gangtok to discuss the situation of flash floods in the State.
