You’re Bengaluru’s enemy No. 1: Karnataka HC to BBMP

The Karnataka High Court has criticized the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) for its handling of unauthorized hoardings and flex banners in the city. The court stated that the BBMP officers were colluding with advertisers and that the illegal advertisements were leading to a loss of revenue and the "uglification" of the city. The court directed the BBMP to conduct a survey of the hoardings and submit a tabular statement on permissions granted and actions taken against violators. The next hearing is scheduled for November 28, 2023.
