Money & liquor flowing in Telangana, EC orders major transfers

The Election Commission has made significant changes in the administration of Telangana ahead of the assembly elections. Four district collectors, three IAS officers, three commissioners of police, and 10 police superintendents have been transferred due to unsatisfactory work. The officers were instructed to step down immediately and hand over charge to junior officers. The EC also shifted out several top police and administrative officers in other poll-bound states. The EC reviewed the functioning of the officials and found that 17 of them failed to maintain electoral integrity. The CS was directed not to assign any duties to them until the election process is over.
