Former Prime Minister Deve Gowda has sacked senior leader C M Ibrahim as the JD(S) Karnataka unit chief for speaking out against the party's decision to align with the BJP for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Gowda dissolved the state working committee and appointed his son HD Kumaraswamy as the ad-hoc president. Ibrahim had previously questioned the decision to join hands with the BJP and claimed that most party MLAs were against the alliance.
