Supreme Court seeks Delhi Police reply on NewsClick founder's plea
The apex court on Thursday sought response of the special cell of Delhi Police to separate petitions by digital media platform NewsClick's founder editor Prabir Purkayastha and its HR head Amit Chakraborty who have challenged their "illegal" arrest in a case relating to money laundering as well as unlawful activities and sought bail during pendency of their appeal. The SC of Justices B R Gavai and P K Mishra bench agreed and posted the matter for hearing on October 30.
