38-year-old suffers heart attack, doctors revive him after 45 minutes of CPR
Saturday, 21 October 2023 A 38-year-old man in Nagpur suffered a sudden heart attack and was without a heartbeat for over an hour. However, doctors managed to revive him after 45 minutes of CPR. The patient remained in the ICU for 45 days and was discharged on October 13. The cardiologist overseeing the case chose to continue CPR beyond the usual 40-minute threshold due to the patient's age and ventricular fibrillation. The man did not experience any negative side effects from the prolonged CPR.
Tragedy struck late last night on the Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway, also known as the Samruddhi Mahamarg, when a horrific collision between two cars claimed the lives of six individuals and left four others injured. The accident occurred near Kadwanchi village in Jalna district, approximately 400 km from Mumbai. The crash involved a Swift Dzire entering the highway from the wrong side after refueling, which collided with an Ertiga traveling from Nagpur to Mumbai. The impact was so severe that the Ertiga was flung into the air, landing on the highway's barricade, with passengers thrown onto the road.
