Indians illegally entering US via Canada at record high

IndiaTimes Tuesday, 24 October 2023
Despite the recent strain in diplomatic relations between India and Canada, the number of Indians attempting to enter the US illegally through Canada has reached a record high. Data from US Customs and Border Protection shows that in September alone, 3,059 Indians were arrested at the US-Canada border. This is the highest number of such arrests in a month between October 2022 and September 2023. Illegal immigrants from India typically cross into the US through the Mexican border, but the number of arrests at the US-Mexico border in September was nearly identical.
