A joint survey will be conducted by officials from India and Nepal to address encroachments on the Indo-Nepal border in Uttarakhand. The survey will focus on the Khatima area of Udham Singh Nagar district and parts of Champawat district. It has been reported that people from both sides of the border have encroached upon the no man's land, primarily for farming purposes. Missing border demarcation pillars have also been identified as an issue. Authorities have formed teams to address the encroachments and ensure the border is properly demarcated.
