No decision yet on replacing ‘India’ with ‘Bharat’: NCERT

A high-level committee for social sciences in India has recommended replacing the name 'India' with 'Bharat' in school textbooks. The committee also suggested including stories of victories of Hindu warriors in the curriculum. The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) said no decision had been made yet on the panel's recommendations. The use of 'Bharat' has already been endorsed by the government in official invitations and nameplates.
