India reiterates opposition to China's multi-billion-dollar infrastructure project BRI

India has once again refused to support China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), making it the only country in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) to do so. The SCO's joint communique stated that other member countries reaffirmed their support for the BRI, while India protested against the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. India's External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar, emphasized the need for adherence to international law and territorial integrity.
