Punjab police nabs four operatives of Babbar Khalsa international
Saturday, 28 October 2023 Punjab police have arrested four operatives of the Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terrorist outfit and busted a module involved in targeted killings. The police recovered six pistols and 275 live cartridges, which were smuggled into India using drones from Pakistan. Earlier, three members of a terror module backed by BKI were apprehended, and weapons were seized from their possession. The BKI has a presence in Pakistan, North America, Europe, and Scandinavia, with Wadhwa Singh Babbar as their leader.

The Bannu military cantonment in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, located over 330 km east of Islamabad, came under a severe attack early on Monday (July 15). The assault, reportedly led by several suicide bombers, resulted in a prolonged gunbattle with security forces. The militant group Jaish Fursan-e-Muhammad, a faction of the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) led by Hafiz Gul Bahadur, claimed responsibility for the attack. According to Pakistani state media, the incident began when the assailants attempted to breach the cantonment’s security perimeter with an explosive-laden vehicle.

The Shehbaz Sharif-led government in Pakistan has decided to ban the jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, the country's Information Minister announced on Monday. The PTI is Pakistan's largest opposition party. Attaullah Tarar, the Pakistani Minister for Information and Broadcasting, announced in a press conference that the decision to ban the PTI was made due to alleged anti-state activities. The case will be referred to the Supreme Court, according to Pakistani media.

Cyndi Lauper , Announces Farewell Tour.
The 70-year-old singer has announced the "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour," CNN reports.
Lauper will play in 23 North American cities.
The tour kicks off on Oct. 18 in Montreal.
It will end on Dec. 5 in Chicago.
Pre-sale tickets will be available on June 4.
General sale tickets will be available on June 7.
Lauper is scheduled to talk about her upcoming
tour on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' on June 5.
Meanwhile, a documentary about Lauper
will debut on Paramount+ on June 4.
It is titled, 'Let the Canary Sing'
and is directed by Alison Ellwood.
