Saturday, 28 October 2023
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the general secretary of Congress, has reiterated her call for a caste census in India. She believes that such a census is essential to accurately determine the number of individuals from marginalized communities, such as OBCs, SCs, and STs, in order to formulate effective policies for their benefit. Vadra also criticized the lack of representation for these communities in higher positions and accused the BJP government of being silent on the issue.
