"It's time to add Hamas to India's terror list": Israel envoy Naor Gilon after pro-Palestine protest in Kerala

IndiaTimes Sunday, 29 October 2023
Israel's ambassador to India, Naor Gilon, has expressed shock at the virtual participation of former Hamas chief Khaled Mashal in a pro-Palestine rally in Kerala. Gilon called for Hamas to be added to India's terror list. Mashal addressed the event, organized by Solidarity Youth Movement, in Arabic. The BJP's vice president in Kerala, VT Rema, criticized the protest, calling the group of Islamic terrorists' mindset "deplorable." The BJP's state president, K Surendran, said such events were unacceptable, accusing the LDF government in Kerala of glorifying Hamas.

Hamas' West Bank Commander killed by Israeli forces in overnight raid near Tulkarm | Oneindia

Hamas’s armed wing said that the commander of its forces in the Tulkarem area of the West Bank was among four members of the group killed during a day-long Israeli raid in the town of Dayr al-Ghusun. A statement from the Izzaldin al-Qassam Brigades names Alaa Shreiteh, 45, as commander of the al-Qassam Brigades in the Tulkarem governorate. Shreiteh was jailed by Israel between 2002 and 2016. According to the IDF, there was a twelve-hour gun battle in the Tulkarem area of the West Bank between its forces and Hamas militants in which four Hamas men were killed. However, the identity of Alaa Shreiteh was revealed by the al-Qassim brigade early on Sunday. Hamas confirmed that four of the men killed during the raid in Deir al-Ghusun village were from its al-Qassam armed wing. The Palestinian health ministry said their bodies had been taken by the Israeli military. There was no information about the fifth man, whose body was too disfigured for immediate identification, the Palestinian health ministry in the West Bank said. #Hamas #IsraeliForces #TulkarmRaid #WestBankCommander #IsraelHamasWar #PalestinianConflict #MiddleEastConflict #Terrorism #MilitaryOperation #News ~PR.152~ED.103~GR.124~HT.318~

Al Jazeera Ban Israel: Netanyahu’s Cabinet votes to permanently close Al Jazeera offices | Oneindia

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared on May 5 that his government had unanimously voted to close down the local offices of Al Jazeera, a broadcaster owned by Qatar. Netanyahu announced the decision on X, formerly known as Twitter, but specifics regarding the implications, timing, and permanence of the closure remained unclear. This move marks an escalation in Israel's longstanding dispute with Al Jazeera and raises tensions with Qatar, particularly significant as Qatar is actively involved in mediating efforts to end the conflict in Gaza. Israel's contentious relationship with Al Jazeera stems from accusations of bias against the network. #AlJazeeraBan #IsraelDecision #NetanyahuCabinet #MediaBan #PressFreedom #IsraeliPolitics #AlJazeeraShutdown #FreedomOfPress #GlobalMedia #Censorship ~PR.152~ED.103~GR.124~HT.96~
