Andhra Pradesh: At least three killed, several hurt as passenger train derails after collision with another
A passenger train collision near Vizianagaram killed three and injured several. The Visakhapatnam-Palasa train had halted, awaiting a green signal when it was struck by the Visakhapatnam-Rayagada train. This caused three Rayagada train coaches to derail. A major rescue effort was initiated with the involvement of NDRF, police, and local assistance. The authorities fear the death toll may rise due to severe injuries, and the operation was hampered by darkness at the scene.
