Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot's son Vaibhav Gehlot appears before ED in Delhi
Monday, 30 October 2023 Vaibhav Gehlot, the son of Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot, appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for questioning in a foreign exchange violation case. The ED had issued summons to Vaibhav Gehlot under the provisions of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (Fema). He is the president of the Rajasthan Cricket Association and a member of the All India Congress Committee. The Congress party has called the ED action politically motivated.
In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Uttar Pradesh's Amethi seat becomes a focal point. Once a stronghold of Congress and Rahul Gandhi, it now belongs to BJP's Smriti Irani.
