Manoj Jarange, a Maratha quota crusader on a hunger strike, has demanded "blanket" OBC reservations for the entire community. He rejected the state government's plan to link benefits to holders of a "Kunbi" caste certificate. Jarange stated that the government should issue Kunbi certificates to all Marathas and amend the 2004 resolution to recognize all Marathas as Kunbis. He emphasized that partial reservations will not be accepted and urged the community to refrain from violence and suicides during the protests.
