8 feet-tall gold-plated marble throne for Ram Lalla idol
Tuesday, 31 October 2023 The Ram temple in Ayodhya will have an eight-foot-tall gold-plated marble throne for Ram Lalla's idol. The throne, being made by artisans in Rajasthan, will reach Ayodhya by December 15. The temple construction work has been intensified, with the ground floor expected to be ready by the same date. Ram devotees have also donated gold and silver items which will be melted down for safekeeping. The first floor is 80% complete, and the construction of the sanctum sanctorum is finished. The work on other areas of the temple is also progressing.

Polling in 102 parliamentary seats across 21 states and Union Territories in the first phase of Lok Sabha Elections commenced at 7 am on April 19 and ended at 6 pm. Over 102 parliamentary constituencies in 21 states and union territories headed to the polling booth on Friday, including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir, Puducherry, Lakshadweep, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. West Bengal recorded the highest turnout till 5 PM at 77.57 per cent, followed by Tripura at 76.10 per cent. Voter turnout in Assam stood at 70.77 per cent, while Manipur recorded a voter turnout of 68.58 per cent till 5 PM.
