Three soldiers injured in landmine explosion along LoC in J&K’s Poonch

IndiaTimes Wednesday, 1 November 2023
Three Army personnel were injured in a landmine explosion near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Wednesday, officials said. During a routine patrolling exercise in a forward area in Poonch’s Mendhar sector, a strayed landmine was activated when one of the personnel inadvertently stepped on it, resulting in injuries to three troopers, said Army sources. On September 2, an Army porter and his horse were injured in a similar landmine explosion along the LoC in Poonch’s Sawjiyan sector.
