Ashok Gehlot has challenged former BJP chief minister Vasundhara Raje to a debate on the seven guarantees being given by the Congress party for the upcoming Rajasthan elections in 2023. Raje had criticized the Congress for making false promises and called their relief measures a farce. Gehlot has announced several welfare schemes and the Congress has appointed incharges and coordinators to oversee their campaign. The BJP, led by Prime Minister Modi, is confident about victory in the state. In the 2018 elections, the Congress won 100 seats while the BJP won 73.
