NIA arrests 15th accused in Coimbatore temple blast case
Friday, 3 November 2023 The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has made its 15th arrest in connection with the car bomb blast outside a temple in Coimbatore in October 2022. The arrested individual, Tahanaseer, was a close aide of the deceased bomber. It was revealed that Tahanaseer conspired with Jamesha and another accused to carry out the bomb blast as part of an ISIS-inspired plot. The investigation also uncovered that Jamesha was deeply influenced by the radical ISIS ideology and had sworn allegiance to the group.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) apprehended two suspects - Mussavir Hussain Shazib and Abdul Matheen Taha - in connection with Bengaluru's Rameswaram Cafe blast case on Friday. The two were nabbed near West Bengal's Kolkata. Mussavir Hussain Shazib has been identified as the alleged "mastermind" behind the low-intensity blast that occurred at a prominent eatery in Bengaluru on March 1. Shazib is accused of placing the improvised explosive device (IED) at the cafe. Additionally, Abdul Matheen Taha is implicated as a co-conspirator in the incident.
