ASI completes Gyanvapi study, report on November 17

IndiaTimes Friday, 3 November 2023
The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has completed a scientific survey of the Gyanvapi mosque in Varanasi to determine whether it was built on top of a Hindu temple. The findings will be submitted to the district court on November 17. The court has granted the ASI an additional 15 days to analyze the data collected during the survey. The survey was ordered after a black stone, claimed to be a Shivling by Hindu plaintiffs, was found in the mosque's ablution pond.
