High court cites Sanatan row, says can’t allow meetings to ‘eradicate’ any ideology
Monday, 6 November 2023 No one has the right to propagate divisive ideas and hold meetings to advocate the “abolition” any ideology, the Madras HC has said and wondered why no police action was taken against DMK ministers and functionaries who attended the September meet where calls rang out to “eradicate” Sanatan Dharma.
Today in Hyderabad, a fierce contest is anticipated between BJP's Kompella Madhavi Latha and AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi, a four-time MLA from the same constituency. BJP's decision to field a staunch advocate of Sanatan Dharma and traditional values intensifies the battle in what is considered an AIMIM stronghold.
