Amid feud with Trifed chairman, its MD transferred to Niti Aayog

Amid the feud between Trifed chairman Ramsinh Rathwa and the organisation's managing director Gitanjali Gupta, the latter has been transferred to Niti Aayog as additional secretary. Her name figures on the list approved by the appointments committee of the cabinet and notified on Monday. On October 19, Rathwa, the chairman of Tribal Co-operative Marketing Development Federation of India (Trifed), issued a memo suspending Gupta, a 1996 batch IAS officer, alleging "administrative mismanagement".
