Betting racket: Five held from Kolkata bar, cafe & flat

Five people have been arrested in Kolkata for their alleged involvement in betting during the India-South Africa cricket match at Eden Gardens. The arrests were made in raids conducted at three locations in the city. It is suspected that bets were placed using apps operated from foreign countries, including Dubai. These arrests bring the total number of people apprehended for betting-related activities in Kolkata to 12 in the past 10 days. The police are increasing their efforts to detect and dismantle such betting rackets.
