Jammu and Kashmir to add 2,000 new medical seats to address doctor shortage
The Jammu and Kashmir administration has requested approval from the National Medical Commission (NMC) to add 2,000 more seats in medical colleges. This is being done to address the shortage of doctors and paramedics in the Union Territory and improve healthcare services. The administration also plans to upgrade primary health centers to sub-district hospitals and establish new facilities to ensure quality and affordable healthcare services.
