Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury for skipping a meeting to finalize the appointment of the chief information commissioner (CIC). Modi also claimed that the Congress has a history of opposing the appointment of Dalits and tribal people to important positions.
