Complaint received over depiction of King Mahabali in Onam poster to support Hamas: JNU VC

IndiaTimes Friday, 10 November 2023
The administration of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in India has received a complaint from students about a poster depicting King Mahabali draped in the colours of the Palestinian flag. The students claim that their religious sentiments were hurt by the depiction. The JNUSU president denies that any complaint was made and accuses the administration of lying. The administration claims that the poster was later changed to promote a food festival for Onam. The issue has received criticism from politicians and has sparked a debate about cultural celebrations on campus.
