Post-Diwali air is worse this year than last in Noida, Ghaziabad
Thursday, 16 November 2023 Air quality in Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad has been in the 'very poor' category after Diwali this year, compared to 'poor' last year. The air quality started to worsen from October 28 and slipped to 'severe' in Greater Noida between November 2 and 9. Light rainfall on November 10 briefly improved the air quality, but it worsened again after Diwali. On November 13, the air quality in the three cities was back in the 'very poor' category. An anti-smog gun operating near the Loni monitoring station was criticized for manipulating air quality levels.
