Yogi govt to construct stadium at Mohammad Shami's native village in Amroha

The government of Uttar Pradesh plans to construct a stadium in the native village of Indian cricketer Mohammad Shami as part of a larger initiative to build 20 stadiums in rural areas of the state. The proposal has been sent to the Chief Minister's office and is expected to be approved. The stadium, to be built in Sahaspur Alinagar, will include facilities such as an open gym and a race track. Shami, currently the highest wicket-taker in the World Cup, hails from Amroha.
