Drone dropping case: NIA arrests 1 more accused for delivering weapons to terrorists
Tuesday, 21 November 2023 The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has made another arrest in a case involving Pakistan-backed terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. The arrested individual, identified as Zakir Hussain, was involved in collecting and transporting weapons dropped by drones for terrorists in Kashmir. This is the eighth arrest in the case, with two suspects still on the run. The NIA is continuing its investigation to uncover the larger conspiracy of Pakistan-backed terrorist groups planning attacks in Kashmir and India.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) apprehended two suspects - Mussavir Hussain Shazib and Abdul Matheen Taha - in connection with Bengaluru's Rameswaram Cafe blast case on Friday. The two were nabbed near West Bengal's Kolkata. Mussavir Hussain Shazib has been identified as the alleged "mastermind" behind the low-intensity blast that occurred at a prominent eatery in Bengaluru on March 1. Shazib is accused of placing the improvised explosive device (IED) at the cafe. Additionally, Abdul Matheen Taha is implicated as a co-conspirator in the incident. Both Taha and Shazib hail from Thirthahalli in Shivamogga district, according to statements from the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
