Maoists abduct youth, brand him a police informer and kill him

A youth was abducted and killed by Naxalites in Chhattisgarh, on suspicion of being a police informer. The victim, Amar Uikey, was allegedly involved in the killing of two Naxalites last month. Naxalites claimed that Uikey provided information to the police and District Reserve Guards. In another incident, personnel found 5 improvised explosive devices planted by Naxalites in Kanker district. Police said that they have confirmed reports about the presence of senior cadre in the region.
