Ashok Gehlot allowed rally of banned PFI: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi came down heavily on Tuesday on Rajasthan’s Ashok Gehlot-led Congress government for allowing a rally of the banned PFI in Kota last year as part of its “appeasement politics”. “PFI was banned but in Kota, they held a rally under police protection while Congress slept,” Modi alleged at a rally in Kota ahead of the November 25 assembly polls, one of his three in the day capped with a road show in Jaipur. Modi was referring to a PFI march in Kota in February 2022. The Centre outlawed the group in September 2022.
