J&K's Rajouri encounter: Another soldier dies, Army toll 5; two terrorists neutralised
In Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district, another soldier lost his life during the ongoing anti-terrorism operation by combined forces of the Army, paramilitary, and J&K police. India has lost five Army personnel, while two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists have been neutralized. The conflict started with a search operation based on intelligence about two terrorists in hiding. Sporadic gunfire resulted in the death of two Army captains and two jawans. The pursuit continued the next day, leading to renewed gunfire exchanges near the Line of Control. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the encounter location.
