Belagavi Cantonment Board CEO found dead days after CBI raid

Belagavi Cantonment Board’s (BCB) CEO K Anand, 40, was found dead at his government residence in the military camp area on Saturday morning. Anand, a native of Tamil Nadu and an officer of the Indian Defence Estate Service 2015 batch, had been serving in Belagavi for one and a half years. The suspected suicide comes on the heels of a CBI raid on November 18 on the BCB office, which is under investigation in connection with alleged wrongdoings in the recruitment of 19 employees in 2021.
