Selfies, certificates for 1st-time voters by EC a hit

IndiaTimes Sunday, 26 November 2023
Selfie points and certificates were a hit among the voters in Jaipur, from 60-70-year-olds to first-time voters. Voters happily had their pictures taken at the selfie points at polling booths, with first-time voters receiving certificates from the district election office. The Shaheed Alok Mathur secondary school in Jhotwara saw a heavy rush of voters stopping at the selfie point after casting their votes. The initiative was praised by voters, who planned to upload their pictures on social media and use them as status updates.
