Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) has introduced the HUL STEM Fellowship for women pursuing Ph.D linked to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The fellowship aims to address gender imbalances in STEM fields. HUL, which has achieved gender balance in its R&D units, acknowledges that the share of women in STEM and R&D careers globally is low. The inaugural edition of the fellowship, in collaboration with IISc, has five women scientists from IISc who will receive financial support and access to mentors. The fellowship aims to inspire the next generation of women scientists, engineers, and innovators.
