IndiaTimes Monday, 27 November 2023
President Droupadi Murmu expressed hope that India's first manned mission to explore the deep ocean, the 'Samudrayaan mission', will be as successful as the Chandrayaan-3 mission. The Samudrayaan mission aims to study deep-sea resources and biodiversity at a depth of 6,000 meters, utilizing a self-propelled manned submersible with scientific sensors. This mission will enhance India's capability for deep-sea man-rated vehicle development. President Murmu also emphasized the importance of equipping Indian ports with better infrastructure.
