Uttarakhand tunnel: Jharkhand man dies waiting for son's return
Wednesday, 29 November 2023 On the day when 41 workers were rescued from the Silkyara tunnel in Uttarakhand, the father of one of the rescued men died before learning of the good news. Baset Murmu, 65, from Jharkhand, was the father of 26-year-old Bhuktu, one of the trapped workers. Baset had been eagerly awaiting his son's return since the accident on November 12. Bhuktu expressed shock and sadness at his father's passing, saying that despite his safe rescue, his father wasn't alive to give him a hug.
