Guarding EVMs at Old Jail: 70 CCTV cams, 200 security staff

The strong room at Old Jail in Arera Hills is well-guarded with a dedicated security force, over 70 CCTV cameras, and an ACP level officer overseeing security in 8-hour shifts. The counting of assembly seats will take place at the Old Jail on Sunday, December 3. Over 700 police officials and personnel will be deployed inside and outside the counting centre. Representatives from political parties have designated space outside the strong room to oversee the security of the electronic voting machines. Generator sets ensure uninterrupted power supply.
