BJP off the blocks to woo independents, smaller parties in Raj

IndiaTimes Friday, 1 December 2023
The BJP brass in Rajasthan is making overtures to smaller entities and independent candidates in preparation for a potential split verdict in the desert state. The list of individuals approached includes rebel candidates Rohitash Sharma, Chandrabhan Singh Akhya, and Ravindra. BJP's election in-charge, Pralhad Joshi, is overseeing the initiative to also rope in Bhartiya Adivasi Party, Rashtriya Loktantrik Party, and BSP. BJP is presuming that rebel candidates who didn't directly challenge the party could be the first to fall in line.
