Now, highway engineers must visit fatal accident site within 48 hours of incident

The government has made it mandatory for highway engineers to visit fatal accident sites within 48 hours of any incident. They will take corrective measures to prevent future accidents. The ministry will also roll out a cashless treatment program for immediate medical care for victims by March next year. The program aims to provide free medical care until the crash victim stabilizes. This initiative was discussed at the Global Road Safety Initiative meet, where experts focused on reducing road crash fatalities and injuries in low and middle-income countries.
