BJP received Rs 720 crore in contributions in 2022-23, a 17.1% increase from the previous year. Congress's contributions fell by 16.3% to Rs 79.9 crore. BJP received Rs 719.8 crore through contributions, with Prudent Electoral Trust contributing Rs 254.7 crore. The contribution reports of political parties do not include receipts through electoral bonds. Congress's donations dropped ahead of winning the assembly polls in Karnataka. Bharat Rashtra Samithi received contributions worth Rs 154 crore.
