IndiaTimes Tuesday, 5 December 2023
The World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) released a new report at the UN climate conference in Dubai, stating that climate change has made the 2011-2020 decade warmer and wetter for India. The report provides a long-term perspective on sustained trends and eliminates variations due to factors such as El Nino or La Nina. The report highlights that India experienced extreme weather events, including the worst single flooding episode in June 2013, leading to thousands of deaths.
