INDIA bloc puts off December 6 meet as three key leaders pull out

IndiaTimes Tuesday, 5 December 2023
The meeting of the opposition INDIA bloc has been postponed due to the inability of key leaders to attend. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, TMC chief Mamata Banerjee, and TN CM MK Stalin cited reasons such as illness, family wedding, and floods in the state, respectively. The postponement is seen as a result of allies' dissatisfaction with Congress' unilateralism and its poor performance in the polls. Two members of the bloc planned to address Congress' dismissive reference to Akhilesh Yadav and violation of the decision to boycott certain media personalities.
