Rahul Gandhi backs Revanth Reddy as Telangana CM; oath tomorrow

Revanth Reddy has been chosen as the chief minister of Telangana by the Congress top leadership. He will be sworn in on Thursday at L B Stadium in Hyderabad. Rahul Gandhi supported Revanth as the Congress Legislative Party (CLP) leader after discussions with Mallikarjun Kharge and K C Venugopal. The other aspirants for the top post, N Uttam Kumar Reddy and Bhatti Vikramarka, were offered portfolios of their choice to pacify them. Venugopal announced Revanth's name in Delhi in the presence of Uttam and Bhatti, praising him as a dynamic leader.
