Six-year-old girl raped at wedding function in Dausa
Friday, 8 December 2023 A six-year-old girl was allegedly raped by an unidentified person at a wedding function in Dausa district. She was moved to JK Lon Hospital in Jaipur for treatment, and her condition is stable, said police. The minor had gone to attend the wedding function with her parents. She was allegedly raped by an unidentified person at the hotel and the adjoining garden. Her parents found her in distress and also noticed injuries on her body. Police are investigating the incident and searching for the suspect.
Heavy rains hit eastern Rajasthan, with lighter showers elsewhere, causing temperatures to drop by up to 4°C across the state. Dausa received the highest rainfall at 20 cm. A cyclonic circulation over north-west Uttar Pradesh is influencing the monsoon trough line, which now passes through Ganganagar and Jaipur. The Jaipur Meteorological Centre predicts continued rainfall in eastern Rajasthan and parts of Bikaner division for the next 4-5 days.
