Bloody bullfight to save wife, 79-year-old triumphs

Gyanbaji Dhanvijay bravely staved off an attack by two marauding bulls on his bed-ridden wife at his home in Nagpur. He suffered multiple fractures while trying to scare away the bulls, who had smashed the iron gate of his courtyard. The bulls rampaged through the rooms, wrecking a cycle and a parked scooter. Gyanbaji was trapped under a water cooler, but miraculously survived when the bull stepped off the cooler and walked away. His family demanded compensation from the state government and called for measures to address the stray animal problem.
